Very interesting comments from Luczo. What comes to mind is what he isn't saying. Is he implying a surrender of the unprofitable desktop segment? It was just today that GM was musing about such a focus on the high end. I assume it would mean that they Seagate could scale back even further. Might they spin off heads and media??? Do the virtual VI thing? Might we see Seagate on the prowl for new investments in software and connectability? They have the war chest for that and valuations may be good right now.

I think we got a glimpse of the new vision but it leaves more questions. Many more questions. Still...I think I like the "drift".
