I'm flat out telling you that's how I voted in those instances. I think the country needs different things at different times. I considered and consider the balanced budget very important. I thought welfare reform was also important, not so much to save money as to kick start the recipients and even more their children into some hope of an eventually better life. I tend to be economically a little to the right of center, and culturally quite liberal. Which is the part you are hearing. Doug
