Bruce you ask a very interesting question. I am not sure it is a question of ASND not wanting to be purchased but what company is better suited for LU? The two companies have ATM with the telco market. ASND has more in the US and NN has a larger installed base every where else. ASND has a stronger IP solution currently. NN has the number one DWDM Metro solution. Then there is price, ASND had run
up in price on expectations it will be taken out by LU shortly. NN is trading near its lows for now (not for long in my opinion). I had the pleasure of attending the AGM and visits to Crosskeys, Cambrian, Vienna and Newbridge last week with Pat Mudge, WOW! Now more than ever I am convinced that our shares are under valued. Products, wins, affiliates and earnings should move the share price in the not to distant future. The price I feel needed to take out Newbridge in Canadian dollars is $70-75.

Glenn
