Flick,

>>>>>>> i am sure of only one thing,
and that is, i can't figure out what is good or bad for
the market based on its reactions to news anymore. it simply
defies any logic i know. <<<<<<<<<<<<

I agree. There is so many news items and fundamental changes out there, that it is so hard to make any sense. There is so much noise that its hard to determine what is critical to the market.

So, I stick to my mechanical system which has been fairly accurate as late, and not look at it from a subjective or fundamental viewpoint.

I guess I can say Im safe with my position based on my short-term technicals that we are in a trading range with a down leg coming soon. If the market tanks, I will probably not get the whole benefit of the drop, but so what. I am keeping all my positions small just in case. Sure I wont make a bundle, but why be greedy in a market which is so uncertain.
