<<Well, if you're going to pick and choose which laws you're going to abide by ..>>
<< ... ALL laws are written to apply to EVERYONE!>>

This is absolute self serving nonsense. Nobody said anything of the kind about anything like this. You are spouting irrelevant platitudes.

Are you advancing the ridiculous notion that there is some equivalence here between the offenses committed by both men?

You seem to be so ashamed of the partisan excesses that you are struggling to establish some point of fairness to justify it. This is an obvious and patently flimsy opportunity for payback, regardless of the consequences.

<<As a matter of fact, Nixon deserved to be impeached over what he did and Clinton does not.>>

>>Well, if you're going to pick and choose which laws you're going to abide by and which ones you're not going to abide by, you'd have a point! I personally feel ALL laws are written to apply to EVERYONE!<<

An excellent point WhoMe. But it seems to me that the question now before you is not whether everyone (President included) should obey all laws, but whether the President of the United States can be impeached for breaking any law. Your constitution allows impeachment only for treason, bribery, and 'high crimes and misdemeanors' (whatever that means). Presumably those who say that Nixon deserved to be impeached and Clinton does not are merely trying to evaluate both sets of allegations according to their seriousness, as your constitution in fact requires.
