Wily,

I believe Cyrx MII processors were developed for lowend PII competition which is the Celeron and I believe the comments so far is the CYRX is better. As far as AMD their K6 and K6II have been better than their counterpart Pentiums and PII up to the 300MHZ maybe 350MHZ systems. The K6 II now has the chipset for the PC100 MB's and they are selling like wildfire. Very good performance. INTC still has the edge on the high end going up to 450MHZ but that will be shortlived.

The K6II is only $135 compared to PII 300 MHZ of $300.
