Salon. (Which I just started reading yesterday, and had never heard of until they became somewhat famous through their Henry Hyde tit for tat revleation.)

Hey. I just started reading Salon on this stuff too, though I beat you by a day or two, and I'd read sporadic articles at Salon previously when links to them showed up at news.com. Mostly about Bill Gates, not Bill Clinton. They've been on the case a while, it looks like. They got a ton of stuff. They may be a bit liberal, but when you look at how the "liberal" New York Times has covered the story, who cares. Not many people in the press have ever given Clinton much of a break that I can see. Of course, we know that anybody who gives Clinton the slightest benefit of the doubt on anything is a WH puppet. I've been given that lecture a time or two also.

Of course, the other side prefers the "facts only" journalistic style of Matt Drudge. Bletch. The new Walter Winchell, indeed. Too bad old J. Edgar Hoover isn't around to harass Salon, then go home and put on a dress to celebrate.

Cheers, Dan.

Thanks for the post of the great article from SOLON. They express concepts like

"The president, like so-called unfriendly witnesses
called before the House Un-American Activities
Committee in the McCarthy era, is subjected to a
degradation ritual that will end only when Clinton
acquiesces to an acceptable confessional script."

so much better than I ever could.

I also have a great deal of anger over their so gleefully and so quickly publishing the biased Starr Report and everything else they can lay their hands on for the sole purpose of humiliating the man. This will be an embarrassment for the Republicans, for embracing this strategy as a party tactic, forever.
