Pat,

The claim to have a major gold deposit north of Payson Arizona. They have worked on it but have not been able to fund the research work that they say is necessary. It is a volcanic cone, probably scoria. They got into the marble business to make enough money to fund the work on the cone.

As far as the marble is concerned, all of these industrial minerals are like Chuca says location, location, location. Transportation costs usually exceed mining costs unless the deposit is close to the market or a railhead which can easily access the markets.

I have not seen any of the data that went into the decision to get into the marble business.
