Whatever remediation business there still exists is in smaller companies and overseas.> Hi folks. Just passing through here and saw this comment. I work in IS in the DC area. I don't know if the switch to service from tools orientation is largely in this area, nationwide or global. I can state with absolute certainty that the above statement does not pertain to the DC area. I was told that the US government alone was only 32% compliant last week. One local county is paying in excess of $200 an hour for coders to recode. Some of the big companies are just getting real about the process. The impossible dream of converting some of those old systems to new platforms has dissipated, so the desperation to remediate existing systems is growing. Good luck finding the source code for a lot if it. Enough speechifying. There is a ton of money to be made in this area for several years (it won't end on 1/1/00), and new business coming in droves. This area is importing folks from overseas by the plane loads trying to get the work done. All this may be completely irrelevant, but it's cheap anyway. Good luck here, Mike
