Have you ever tried a Chiropractor for your back? I go to one when I get stiff in the git along. I find it eases the pain in my lower back and also have fewer headaches after a visit. I really should go once a month. They don't help everybody but if what you need is a spinal adjustment they are a God send.

I have a damaged cervical disk, which sends shooting pains through my shoulder, down my arm and into my hand. Physical therapy, especially traction, has greatly lessened the symptoms. Instead of shooting pains I get tingling and numbness, and I don't have that most of the time. Unfortunately the nature of my work serves to aggravate this injury. If it gets bad again I suppose I'll be seeing a neurosurgeon to get the disk cut away from the nerve.
