Nick, I also use NS 4.06 and have very few problems with Streamer. I takes about 1 minute to load after submitting my ID. The only bug I have found is that it sometimes will cause NS to crash. Have not yet pinpointed exactly what it is that triggers the crash. Doesn't happen unless I am putting in a lot of colour changes, formats, etc. I have learned simply to leave it with the defaults.

Try it again, Jon.

Thanks, Nick - I wasn't patient enough to wait 10 minutes for Streamer to come up! I assumed something was wrong, becuase I didn't even get the "loading Java" message. I dunno, I still think there is something wrong, because I should get that message.

It DID work for me during the Beta period.

Unfortunately, they CAN'T do a "streamer.ini" because browser-based Java won't let you write a file on the local hard disk. (Well, you can, but it requires that the user permit this breach in security, which authors usually try to avoid, since it raises suspicion on the part of users and limits the number of customers who will then use the product...)

However, I think they could probably do something similar using cookies, and either storing the setting in a cookie, or storing them on their server, and then feeding you a page with Java parameters supplied by the server in the page that loads the applet. (Hint to Josh!)

To All: Does anyone know how what symbols to use for the DJIA, Nasdaq Composite, and Russell 2000 on Streamer? Thanks!
