<<"Tolerance" is the virtue of those who believe in NOTHING. JLA>>

You could not have said more succinctly what I am viscerally, fully, and deeply opposed to. Why I am so alarmed by this rising tide of McCarthyite moral absolutism. This rising above all other values of social and moral treatment of others this determination to corner a President in a sex lie, and then throw out all civil and decent restraint to persecute him to the maximum amount possible.

In case you missed it, I think you as much as any should read this:

Double Cool, jlallen. Now the true is out. It's not the "Christian Nation" you want- it's Rand's bracing atheism. How do you think that will go down with the Moral Majority crowd? Let's see some honest discourse on that subject. Then, there's the pesky issue of Rand's own rather messy personal life. Quite an example for the Ken Starr crowd there too.

Are you going to reconcile all this for us, or will it forever be a conundrum, wrapped inside an enigma , inside a Kachinka doll or whatever? Not like I'd fault Rand on those particular matters, being agnostic at best on theological matters and, uh, tolerant on personal things. Sort of a bad fit with the official "values" of your crowd, though.

Cheers, Dan.
