Tim,

I agree on MER for long term. I'm just burned by the ASND experience from this year and am looking much harder to find that bottoms have been met before jumping in. In the meantime, I sure like the wide swings for trading!

I sold some ASND shares last week because of the LU uncertainty risk (and figuring ASND will do its regular 5-7 point swings and offer a pullback if needed). What do you think will happen next week? LU yes or LU no? Maybe I'll buy some puts and repurchase ASND... Either way, the damn stock will move big time next week with either good news or bad news....

What do you think?

if greenspan lowers rates a 1/2 point(which is what i believe he will do)>>>>>

well there are many in your camp

although to me it seems unlikely to have that big of a move from a neutral bias....first time out

there are some bond traders that came on CNBC that 1/4 point was already priced into the bonds..and 1/2 point was starting to be factored in

some talking heads are saying 1/4 point is priced into the stock market and possibly 1/2

it's hard for me to see how someone can say confidently that 1/4 is priced into the stock market..but not 1/2 or whatever....

what you seem to be implying is that 1/2 is not priced in..but over 1/4 is priced in....since 1/4 would cause a sell off

so what makes you think that?
