Absolutely not.

Microsoft' main income is from x86 based software - OS and applications.

Likewise, Intel's x86-based systems are 95% based on Microsoft's OS.

Both Intel and Microsoft are trying to expand their businesses and spheres of influence, This Linux deal is just one of them.

These companies are inextricably bound for the foreseeable future.
