he lied to protect himself, his family, monica
& her family the shame & embarassment making the
affair public would cause as any other man would
do caught with his pants down. it isn't too
complicated. call it perjury, impeach him, tear the country
apart---the polls show the general public
has common sense --the 67% favorable rating
probably equals about the number of people who
have experienced the same problems in their lives

Hi Darrel Youngblood; Nice post regarding obstruction
of justice. Here is an (out of context?) quote and the
original link on the U.S. Department of Justice web page:

She denied to them that she had engaged in sexual relations
with Arthur in her office on June 27, 1991.

On July 13-14, 1995, Chief Magistrate Judge Mikel Williams
conducted a hearing to determine the scope of Battalino's
employment at the VA. During the hearing she testified falsely
under oath about what had happened between Arthur and her
during his visit on June 27, 1991. In so doing, she violated
the obstruction of justice statute, Title 18, United States
Code, Section 1503. She is scheduled to be sentenced on July
20, 1998 at 9:30 A.M. before the Honorable Edward J. Lodge.
