Laser, Since you have been rather civil lately--here is a short pick for you-- Short ABX here C= 19.81 and prepare to cover at $14.50-to $15.00. Since this is a legal short recommendation, you must do it on the uptick. I have others, of course, nothing wrong with a legal short in my mind. Particularly in this market where one is advised to sell the rallies with gusto!! I sound like a registered advisor--Jack, you have to stop that--standard disclaimer here!! As an aside, anyone have recent experience with internet buying of computer products, then trying to contact a human being? Voicemail is great if you wish to avoid contact. I ordered this bare bones computer. It was AMD 333 K2 3d with 100 mhz buss. It arrived and I tried to install the hdd and got nowhere. Took it to my computer guru and he could not even complete diagnostics on the motherboard. Bad Motherboard. So I gets my RMA # and sends it back. It arrived on the 4th of Sep (I paid the return shipping). I call the company which is in Cleveland. Go through the press the 1 and the 2 and etc for about an hour and the only department with a human was sales, so I talk to sales and ask for the supervisor. I get Roberto's voice mail, so I talk to Roberto and give him my number and my problem and never get a call back. A friend of mine ordered the same system, but he ordered the complete package. His worked for a couple of days, then started smoking. He sent his back also. This wonderful little bundle should arrive tomorrow, and let us hope that I do not have to go through more of this "progress". Well, I determined that as long as I was in a "wait state" (computer term), I would get a new desk for my computer and revamp my physical setup. I went looking for computer desks and found lots of particle board and cheap crap, and anything worthwhile was highly priced and did not please me in its design. Well, me says to me, we will build it. We made a round turn trip of about 200 miles, since we live in the USA equivalent of the Australian Outback and bought some very nice and true oak veneered plywood and other necessities. We sawed and planed and routed our moulding and sanded and glued and stained and finished, and made the drawers and now it is finished and we are pleased. Looks very nice and it is real wood. Well real wood and good veneered plywood. We even blacksmithed the drawer pull. That looks nice also. There was only one problem with that. We used unknown steel. It happened to be "air hardening steel", and after we finished and tried to drill two holes for the screws, the drill bit said "no". We tried Carbide bits, but they broke. Nothing would penetrate this stuff. Not to be defeated, we resorted to "ancient blacksmith methods". We heated it red hot and punched through with cold steel. It worked. Now the handle is affixed to the drawer and we have a section for the CD and the floppys and all is arranged. We have a hand rubbed finish and it looks great. We have all the printers and the scanner arranged on staggered shelves and we are ready. We are only missing the new computer!! I am certain that it will arrive tomorrow? Hardworking, Jack!!
