Hi Bruce. My ear is to the track on sector SPDRs. No news yet. Occasionally IBD will have a blurb about it. The AMEX has a very poor site for news. You'll know when I know. I agree that sector SPDRs, sector mutual funds and sector indexes have high potential without taking single stock risk.

Best regards, duke60

Message for Chartseer and Bruce Edelstein

I tend to agree with Bruce that there is value in mutual funds or sector proxies. You have safety in numbers, when you buy a basket of stocks instead of only a few, and hopefully fund managers can select the better ones to play. I believe there are or will soon be options on the sector proxies.

I suspect less personal time would be required to manage investments in funds or sectors, even for a p&f pro.

I look forward to posts from both of you. Your efforts are appreciated.

Thanks again.

Dennis
