DELL Target of PCI-X consortium?

Many good write-ups for DELL. Thanks Greg.
Also for pointing out two fundamentals of super-investors; (1.Identify industry Leaders and 2. Avoid over-diversification)

But, as is common of folks protective of the "golden goose" I am looking at PCI-X consortium with some trepidation. Bus speeds will double with the consortium leaving DELL in the dust!!

<the PCI-X specification offers a bus speed of
133MHz, compared to PCI's 66MHz. PCI transfers data between the
CPU and peripherals at 132MB per second but PCI-X will boost that
to around 1GB per second and is seen as a way to unblock the
bottleneck that PCI has become.>

The real problem of course is that DELL has been left out the PCI-X technology.
<He believes instead that Dell is the target
of the PCI-X consortium, made up of
industry heavyweights, Compaq, IBM
and HP.>

I hope I am not the only one with these concerns. Full story.

Greg,

Why would anyone ever mention trashpaq in
the same sentence as DELL???
I could never figure this out and still
can't. I owned CPQ once--UUUUGGHHHHH--
WILL NEVER OWN THAT stock again.
How long do you think it'll be before
DELL puts CPQ out of business for good?

Two words for this week,,,,Alan
Greenspan.
