Mang,

>>"Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) increased to 63 days from 56 days in Q4. The dominant factor impacting the growth in DSO was shipment linearity, which crept up slightly from the spring quarter. This quarter, 49% of shipments occurred in the last 5 weeks of the quarter (i.e., the ending month), compared to 45% during the final 5 weeks of the spring quarter."<<

IMO, I don't have to much trouble with this. The 2nd quarter
(which were in now) will have be strong and there will be sales
due to back-to-school and Christmas events. Last quarter, sales
possibly picked up in August from back-to-school sales.

***Matt****...what do you think, since you sell computers?

>>"Share repurchase activity in Q1: During Q199 we repurchased 1.1 million shares, or slightly more than 10% of the 10 million shares authorized for repurchase by 3Com's Board of Directors. The average price for the repurchased shares was $26.57 per share. "<<

Very interesting. Looks like they haven't even used up much
of their buyback shares. I wonder when they plan on using them?
They're still cheap. Also, interesting to compare this to
the $1billion they have in cash. And, they plan on making small
acquisitions, possibly before the end of this year. Again, when
is the best time to use the share repurchase tactic???
