Re: UTEK Short Interest as of 9/15/98 stands at 22,647,186 shares Wow Pete...I hope you mean 2.26 million shares, not 22.6 million! What a hell-of-a short squeeze we could have with that number. I have to agree with your assessment...the shorts have been right about this stock during the past year...and been rewarded well. I think the odds of this stock being a late 1998 story are nill. Much as I hate to think about it, I've been wondering about a tax-loss strategy on this dog. My basis is 24+, which means the stock needs to move over 100% from today's level for me to realize a 50% return on my initial investment (which, BTW started over 1 year ago.) The big question, of course, is HOW LONG will we need to wait for the action on this stock. Regards...Bill S
