Who, I never said that only christians run the C.C.....rather only radical fundamentalists of whichever religion. If you don't mind, I'll take the truthfulness of your private message remarks with a grain of salt since I'm not the avowed "christian" who first chose to call some-else "mean" and "nutty" in this exchange. Evidently, you believe in the Henry Hyde philosophy of life -- cast stones at others even tho' you are guilty of the same sins, if not more so. I know perfectly well what Reagan & Dole's stands were on abortion. That fact is proof enough that I'm not the flaming "liberal" you would like to label me. Rather I choose to vote in the order of my priorities. Crime was my most serious concern when I voted for Bush & Dole in consecutive elections. Since then, I've seen the radical right push their agenda, which is offensive to the majority of Americans, down our throats. Don't faint or take another seizure, Who, but IMO you were not quoting God in your post -- only a writer from ancient times who belonged to the ruling class of the day and wished to control the multitudes by taking advantage of their ignorance. Even if it was the word of God, your interpretation of the words does not make it truth -- only your opinion of the meaning. You are supremely correct when you say "we'll never change each others minds." First of all, if a supreme being wanted humans to know his commandments, desires, thoughts on moral & ethical subjects he would not set them down in ancient language on fragile(easily deteriorated) material. Any all-powerful creature with supreme intelligence would find a far superior way to make his wishes known to mankind. I'm also a mother, Who; therefore, I know that women are often put in circumstances as regards giving birth that cannot be covered with one dogmatic law in all cases. This is the weakness of the anti-choice forces........no empathy or concern for the human life that's already on earth.....only the quoting of ancient passages which were originally intended to control the human race. Thank you for your offering of prayer on my behalf, Who, but there's no need.........I am and will continue to do just fine without the prayers of Henry Hyde, Dan Burton-type individuals. The Christian Coalition has lost more votes for the Republican Party than they've ever gained. Americans do not appreciate being preached to by people who are the walking epitome of hypocrisy. Ann
