donald,

Thanks for your post. I also happen to agree with you. And I also, am strictly technical. Personally, I won't rule out a retest of the recent lows, but I just don't see it. I also would be amazed to see 9000 so quickly, I would more likely suspect a retest of the old highs 2 or 3 quarters down the road. I believe that we're in a trading range and am long for that reason. There is the outside possibility that this current upward bias may turn into something more, but I don't know and for this reason I see no reason to sell here.

I also agree that buying here 'with both hands' is foolish and naieve. I don't believe I ever said that, it's not even in my vocabulary. My reasons for buying anything here are due to several things I posted here earlier. I was looking for a nine month cycle low, which I think we just had, and the sell off put in a key reversal low in an area where there is a history of congestion late in 1997.

Other indicators are still negative, but this is a place where I suspected a rally, which we have so far. It could end tomorrow morning. The stocks I picked are generally doing well in this market climate. But, for the record, I also am neither a permabull or permabear. I agree with most of your previous post as well.

Again, thanks for your post.

My Best Regards.
