The way I hear it, because of that 5% Communist vote, the newly elected party will try an alliance with the current governing party. "" Correction, the Communists (PDS)have more than 5% of the vote, and Commerad Gysi will definately will take part in the Government. They may even hope for a minsterail post in the cabinet. As for policy, I believe Schroder will steer German poloicies closer to the East and Russia in particular! Europe is tilting to the left! We will have one big welfare state, lots of mouth for feed and no body willing to work.
