Orbit,

Many thanks for posting the story on Malaysia. My heart can't help but be with those who speak out against the repression of the regime there, who invoke laws that we would find reprehensible. I guess we should not forget that the internal security act that Mahatir is invoking is acually a law put in place by the British during colonial times. That Mahatir is anti west is not surprising. He is the last country leader in Southeast Asia that directly felt the sting of the colonialist brand of tyranny. That he invokes the same law to try to save his regime we should again not be surprised. We are all familiar with the phenomena of a sociopath who was abused as a child.

Mahatir's time has passed. He should go.

Best,
Stitch

Thread, prominent int'l fund managers recently commented that they see signs of a bottoming in Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, and Singapore. Still negative on Indonesia and Malaysia. Seeing some bargains in Japan, but still underwhelmed by the prospects there at the present time.
