Gauguin, Yup, "Rocky and Bullwinkle" was very funny and not really at all for kids. 1968 was a great year for memorable commercials. Standouts included Alka-Seltzer, Volkswagen, Jeno's Pizza Rolls. Even better than the commercials were the spoofs of those and other commercials on the variety shows. Whatever happened to variety shows? Eight-track tapes? Yup, still have a few and an old Panasonic eight-track player/recorder. I've been slowly transferring the better ones to cassettes. BTW, when my 1967 Cougar XR-7 was stolen in 1982, the thief took it upon himself to remove the factory AM radio and install an eight-track player--sans radio, however--a situation which I quickly remedied when I recovered the car. During the two months he had the car, he also did a brake job and made other repairs. All in all, a most considerate thief. Even the insurance company and police said it was one for the books. Holly

Rocky and Bullwinkle. Now taht's comedy. One of my favorite episodes was when Boris was spreading "Goof Gas" and making everyone in America stupid. It didn't do anything to Bullwinkle, though, because he was already stupid. So he was called in to crack the case. "Goof Gas. One poof, you're a goof." Or how about the one when Bullwinkle found a toy yacht with rubies and the name Omar Khayam on the side. The Ruby Yacht of Omar Khayam. Riotous. Dudley Dooright of the Canadian Mounties was also a hoot.
