Hiroshima, Nagasaki mayors condemn U.S. subcritical test ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The mayors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki criticized Sunday the United States for conducting its fourth subcritical nuclear test. Hiroshima Mayor Takashi Hiraoka said in a statement that the U.S. action will ''surely accelerate a nuclear weapons development race.'' He said the test, conducted Saturday, ''made it clear that the U.S. wants to keep possessing nuclear weapons.''
