If you extract it to c:\equis\dlwin, it will ask if you want to replace your old file "symbol32.dta". Say yes, and all should be OK!

The Equis site instructs:

Place the extracted file in your DownLoader folder (i.e., c:\equis\dlwin). (dated 9/14/98, 635 bytes)

The file you're updating is symbol32.dta which is in the c:\equis\dlwin directory. The original file was dated 8/25/97. Can you find it there? ...and welcome to Sept. 1998! Fresh fish to fry. <gg>
