Hi Jim,
OK lets get ready!
You did clear up something: ( that is a major accomplishment QT did too much celebrating last night)
Here is what I think, based on what I surmise about what you have said or implied thus far:
You believe the one "good call" is luck. Therefore, a series of "good calls" is not within reach over a period of time?
We'll get back to that maybe, but not this morning.
It's very early Monday and my darling spouse and I have partaken of the "vine" or is that wine? She is sane, Me, who knows?
I have a hangover and over and over etc. QT got more than Dell buzzing on the brain.
Should have stayed in bed but then it is somewhat astonishing don't you think, how you can get wrapped up in this thread and care so much about almost all of it?
Seriously, I think I am spending too much time here but I do enjoy it all. Need to take a break though. Think that is what LOD did?
I am well aware of your TA challenge. If you are interested on my thoughts on the value and the feasibility of such a challenge, as I currently understand it to be, I have already posted on it.
Anyway, this seems to evolve, which is fine for me, could be the wine.
You, King James, I am not too sure about.
You, I think, want the games to begin, on terms that I see could make one holding your cards in a game whose rules, as now being fleshed out by you, give you, Jim in this case, the card holder, the edge.
Unwieldy sentence, fog ,fog go away.
You want the edge, clear enough.
Maybe it is too big of an edge to overcome for most of the kind of players, you really seem to be challenging.
Me, I think happen to be in your face, so I if want in, why not?
Thanks Chuzz. Kind of think the OLE pussycat is meowing " maybe another hundred for our Buy/ Hold fund".
Hey, Jim it is your game, your challenge, thus far, your rules. If someone wants to take you on under those circumstances and you want to take them in, that's their business and yours.
I more interested in truly testing "pure" Buy and Hold against all other variations of Buy and Hold and any other strategies or systems.
That I would pursue with you and or anyone else that has that sort of interest.
Now, if you are saying the hell with the academic pursuit of truth and justice and let's put some good solid American cash on the table and get something going with QT. Sure, I like a challenge Jimmy me boy, we can make a lot more interesting than you have suggested so far.
"Say you like to cut grass don't you? I see earnings potential here"! Must address this to the Bear Thread!
Let's see, we already know you like the edge and I don't play without a big one ( not sporting of me I know) but almost every one on our Bull Thread is playing with one now ( time to say "Go Dell Go"....Where is LOD anyway)?
Oh yes, lets start with a cooperative, really small time hustle ( OOPS.. ...challenge, of course) just to get the ball rolling.
First, we bring Chuzz into it. Not that Chuzz has been too far away from it from the beginning (this does have some of the elements of the Godfather... if they would have listened to my small voice they would have never made the last one).
Where was I? Buzz, Buzz, that's it: Chuzz (sometimes, a little cat sometimes a mischievous chess player, sometimes the leader of this motley band of bulls) likes to orchestrate ( OOPS there I go again make that, present) a "challenge".
We'll ask him to work this script I have in mind. No drinking Chuzz. I took care of that. We need the fog cleared.
Cut the grass... earnings potential.... got it
Here is what I tentatively like to challenge:
To: The Adorable Bears on the Dell Thread:
Want the Bulls money? OK. Like the number 100? Fine. We challenge you or any one else. We bet $100.00 that Dell will go over 100 within a year from the time of our last 2:1 split.
In fact, we will make it a standing challenge. How long has Jimleon now infamous "challenge" been in effect? Two years? ( Jim if you want, I'll give up the infamous bit...it's not even negotiable, if you say no to infamous that's good enough for me)
Back to the proposal ( see I can do it Chuzz, we'll call it a proposal). Nice innocuous sound to it, proposal.
We bet the next time Dell splits two for one, from the split amount opening, it goes up over $100.00 sometime within a year from that date.
Win or lose in that year, we'll give you beautiful bears an opportunity to get even or win more. We'll repeat the proposal again!
One thing I insist on! We can't call them "chicken" if they don't take us up on it. We can't say balk, balk balk, because for now, they really dropped the ball.
No name calling, just a little "proposal". If they pass it up, I will of course, have a great deal more respect for their position.
I hope to always have respect for them.
Sure like to spread the Good News to LT. He can be saved, but maybe not by me.
It is what it is what ever it is.
OK girls & guys, that is it! Sunday long ago became Monday and it's back to slow sleep time for me.
Regards,
