The first 100 manufactured prototypes will be finished this week. Until now EVDS has been using handmade CAPSCAN's at the various trade shows they have been attending. From what I am hearing an extremely high number of pre orders have been placed. Now with a manufactured prototype available I am hoping that these pre orders are quickly turned into purchase orders. I've been getting lots of e mail from people who read the thread.

It seems that most people are really excited by EVDS's prospects and even though I try hard not to hype the CAPSCAN's potential it simply sounds too good to be true. The good news is we have some people carrying out some individual research and they are confirming my efforts. I did get a question about how soon actual CAPSCAN order information will be released. I think the major stipulation has been that the manufactured prototype models work like the handmade. There is no reason why they won't so it's simply a question of showing the interested parties one of these prototypes and then it should be off to the races for actual orders. Time will tell.

>Jeff, When do you expect to see manufacturing prototypes of the CAPSCAN ready to be shown to potential buyers?<

The prototype deliveries will be this week before Atlanta. They were delayed because the manufacture was trying to make one part smaller than it needed to be made. TOW missles indeed. Jim Crehan told me that they will be done and there will be no reason to believe that sales estimates will be effected by any small delay. Personally I think the estimates are quite low because of the tremendous interest for the CAPSCAN. Anyway the prototypes are being finished!

They will be ready for the big show in Atlanta where lots of my friends will be looking on at what I hope will be tremendous interest from the major oil companies in attendance. This weekend EVDS is in Las Vegas and things sound like they are going very well indeed. Next weekend is the biggest trade show of the year.

The NACS meeting is October 11th - 13th 1998 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.

It's supposed to be absolutely huge. Look at the number of exhibitors:
