Robert,

Without specifics about the stock you hold, I would not want to comment. If it is a good company with good production or prospect and good management and good reserves, I would be inclined to hold on. My personal view is that if the fed lowers rates, we will see the equities strengthen and gold sag a bit here, but perhaps not for long and perhaps not to new lows.

You understand that I am not a registered investment advisor, so my views are just mine and please take no action based on my humble view.

Now with that aside, I will tell you about the time I saw a passenger train hit a tanker truck carying JP4 jet fuel. This happened in front of my grandmother's house when I was a young boy. In front of the house (fortunately about 75 yards) was a track and road crossing. I was coming around the side of the house carrying water for the stock. I heard the engineer laying on the horn and looked up to see a fuel truck about 1/3 across the crossing. The train hit the first third of the tank and threw the tractor and driver to the far side and the tank to our side. There were flames all over the train as it went through. A huge wall of flame erupted on our side and fortunately down a ditch which ran along the tracks on our side. Huge fire! No one hurt on the train, and the driver of the tanker survived. Thank God it was not carrying gasoline!!

Scared kid, Jack!!
