Satire? Me?

Not at all. I was just trying to help Justa, by repeating some of the things we all said and believed not so long ago.

Go back and re-read the discussions on this thread, and in Business Week and the WSJ, from 12 months ago. That was about the time the Malaysians were saying their problems were caused entirely by Soros, and the mess would be confined to Southeast Asia, and would all be over by mid-1998. Everything on that list (except #11) has been seriously proposed and debated by influential people, and widely believed. I half-believe half of it myself, when I'm feeling mellow (fortunately for my investment returns, I don't feel that way too often). And if the Dow has a few more 100+ up days, you'll be hearing all the things on that list on CNBC, just as you were a year ago.
