You can get more information on the MXi at the Cyrix web site. Look at the October, 1997 press releases.

If your rumor about 3dfx is true, we can expect great 3D performance with the MXi, but potentially poor image quality. 3DFX cards are known for both. We're just going to have to wait and see. It could be that the graphics unit on the MXi will be like a mini Banshee. In any case, it will put the i740 on the Whitney to shame.
