Rajala, I suppose that if the Euro governments mandated that only one specific brand of automobile could be driven that car dealerships would have to be more price competitive too. What you describe as true operator competition is really just limiting choice so that price is the only competitive factor. What you fail to see is that by mandating a certain technology you stifle innovation. I believe that is why the European manufacturers are behind in the development of CDMA. Pete
