I saw a couple of articles about LTCM in the Australian Press possibly reprinted from the British press - Times / Economist. Or maybe even in Business Week One was when they handed back capital to their investors because they couldn't find opportunities to invest it. The second was when they lost a pile in August but before things got real desperate. There was a lot of discussion then. Of course what caught my eye was that Scholes and Merton were partners/consultants. Otherswise I might have paid a lot less attention.

It ahs nothing to do with LTCB :)

Well Jim, supposedly only private investors lost money in LTCM. ;-)
