Alta Natural Herbs & Supplements: Retail Division
Launched, New Staff Hired

RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Company President, Adolph Huckschlag,
reports that The Company has hired Mr. Piers VanZiffle to head the
Company's newly established Retail Division. Mr. Van Ziffle will
assume the position of Manager of Retail Operations and will be
responsible for executing The Company's vertical integration
strategy.

Mr. Van Ziffle previously managed the retail health supplement
locations of BEA Per Capita Consulting Corporation. In his role
as Vice President and General Manager of BEA Mr. VanZiffle
occupied the top operational position and was responsible for all
aspects of the macro-management of this successful chain.

Mr. VanZiffle's appointment is in preparation for The Company's
planned entrance into the retail marketplace with locations in
Western Canada, initially, and will extend into Central and
Eastern Canada before contemplating a U.S. retail presence.

The Company reports that it has entered into negotiations with The
Hudson's Bay Company to takeover the license agreements for the
Vitamin Centre at The Bay. A tentative offer has been received
from The Hudson's Bay and is currently being reviewed by The
Company's management. Both parties wish to conclude these
negotiations within the next two weeks.

The initial stage contemplated by The Hudson's Bay's proposal
involves assuming six in-store Hudson's Bay locations on or before
October 15, 1998. The second stage of this proposal would involve
assuming nine additional locations on or before November 24, 1998;
with the balance of Hudson's Bay stores to be opened on a schedule
agreeable to both parties.

This could be huge for AHS Hudsons Bay isn't exactly a Mom and Pop. 15 stores before the end of the year and more to come. This is bound to add to the bottom line.
