Major Losses Expected

September 28, 1998

Infolatina via NewsEdge Corporation : MEXICO CITY, Sep. 25 (Reforma/Infolatina)-- Competition in the cellular and PCS telephone services market is saturated in Mexico, said directors at Ericsson, for which reason many companies will face major losses over the next few months. There are simply too many competitors, and the fight for a market share will become a war, with companies cutting prices to such an extent that they cannot hope to make a profit. "Sooner or later the mergers and takeovers will begin, " the directors said, "leaving behind only two major companies. "

Don't know which particular article you are referring to, but lets post it for everybody to read.

I have read a lot though, and not once seen anything clear about it.

You are absolutely correct on this point, Clark. I have not seen this claim either.
