dougjn - I love well thought out arguments, even though they may reach conclusions I don't agree with.

True, given the three criteria you outline, alone, I think you are correct - unless, of course, the truth is that you didn't do what the accusers are saying.

What the obviously well-thought out treatises you pointed us to neglect to deal with but you finally touch on in this last post is: "Most of us are fortunate enough to never be put in that situation.

The reason most of us aren't going to get into that kind of situation (i.e., being the subject of this kind of questioning or inquisition into our sex lives), is that despite a seemingly constant drum-beat for moral relativism, most of us don't conduct ourselves in a manner that invites or even legally requires it. Most people have never appeared in criminal court, been sued for sexual harassment or have even been deposed.

Had Bill Clinton not engaged in _________ (fill in the blank from a long list of choices) he would not have had to face that kind of scrutiny or questioning, either.
