*OT** Check out the teams Texas has been clobbering recently, the Angels and Mariners. The starting pitching for Texas is so bad they are starting Stottlemyre ahead of Helling who won 20 games with an ERA of about 5 runs a game. As you said, good pitching beats good hitting and the Yanks have the deepest pitching staff in the AL and by the way they did lead the league in runs scored and hit the most homers since the all star break, finishing with 207, 3d in the league. And how about Spencer! His 10 homers, including 3 grand slams helped the Yanks tie a ML record with most players with 10 or more homers. Indians Red Sox series should be interesting and I'd love to see a Boston NY series! Steve
