That's correct but it's not unbiased, if they issue a bad report they lose customers. Customers = profitability. Right, so with respect to the company they report on, they are neutral. They have no vested interest in the individual stock, which makes them a non-biased third party (1st being the company, 2nd being its representatives). They are simply making recommendations to their clients. Companies like to take theses reports (when they are aware of them, since often they are only sent to clients, as the one's I have received are) and make stink about them. It's kind of like car reviews. The car company will definitely tell you it is a good car. The salesman usually will, although he may try to sell you a slightly different model. Your mechanic has no interest in the car, so he'll give you an honest opinion, knowing you may not trust him in future if he recommends a lemon. BF
