I think it depends on the kinds of investors. If the market tanks, the bear threads will flourish. Yes, since most investors are longs, the threads and their numbers in general will shrink.

Happy trading.

People talk less on these boards when they're losing money, but once they figure out how to make money in a bear market, they'll start talking again.

I just hope they buy my puts, at a big profit to me, when they figure it out. :-)

If that many people left the stock market for a different market, I'd sure like to get in early for the 10 year Bull market in what ever it is they decide to put their money into.

Seems we just tested the downward trendline connecting the August and July highs and bounced down. Maybe our bearish forecasts might come true after all. NASDAQ is testing the 200 DMA again. The TISK has backed off for now. A good buy program might push us over. It will be interesting to see what they have in store for this afternoon.

LG ... some of the threads I followed have dried up completely and this started some while ago. I had an exchange of messages on the AOL thread with a short when the rumour was that they were going to sell SI to AOL. I pointed out then that this product seemed to be a diminishing asset and they should get whatever they could for it as soon as possible. Sad but true. The SI guys and gal did well imho.
