I hear you, but isn't the PE getting a bit ridiculous? Wondering if I should sell and wait for it to come down a bit.......

jim

Thats a good strategy if you can always get it right. Otherwise, you will eventually be caught out and end up buying it back more expensively. In fact, you just become a daytrader -no disrespect to daytraders meant :-) But unless you want to daytrade, why do it? And in that case, there are many other stocks you can also daytrade and from a day-to-day perspective, Dell is no more (or less) predictable than any other stock.

The alternative is to adopt a smug grin, and hold. The thread here has many examples where people have sold, intending to buy back on a dip, and it either doesn't dip far enough, or it keeps on rising. I agree the PE is ridiculous according to 'normal valuations' but then, Dell isnt normal :-)

Selling DELL:a recommendation

James (and others intending to sell)
Take heart, and remember that you are not alone.

The Kaufman Brothers brokerage house have recommended a "strong sell"
on DELL since March 26th!!!
At that time DELL was at approx $33.00. So there my friends!!
biz.yahoo.com
investor.msn.com

Wanna take a look at their "Buy" list?? Me too!!

As for me, I will HOLD.

Good investing.
