same old crap that has been up with mer for two months now and that is why i have it as a long term holdunless you want to day trade the stock.....it does have big swings almost everyday.

Mark, I wouldn't look for any sustained upward movement in any of the big bank and brokerage stock in the near term (1-3 months). These companies all have unquantified exposure to Asia, Latin America, and now, this Long Term Capital fiasco. The LTC thing could be a greater impact than first thought, because of the uncertainty of whether there are other hedge funds out there with similar predicaments.

Tim's right. Over the long run, these will be good stocks, but IMO, the bottom has not been reached on any of them. But we are getting close, I think.
