Of course you can use your metastock scans on either type of output. I suggest you filter stocks down in QP to those you will trade. You might have price, volume, eps, float, indicator, etc requirements that you want to apply. This reduces the number sent to MSWIN. Instead of scanning 10,000; you might scan 200-700.

By putting the lines in your filter scan, you decide if you will go metastock or virtual.
