Raymond, So with your supposition, the only way to learn the true meaning of the Qu'ran is to learn the language and dialect is was written in. Otherwise we could not be assured of getting the true meaning. Is that what your telling me here? "Because translations always lose something from the original language. That's acceptable so long as the Translators are consistent. By example, I mean by that that if a translator refers to "horse" from the Spanish "Cabello," he/she should translate "cabello" as "horse" at every section it appears in. Otherwise, they'd be inconsistent in their own texts." I disagree with you that these differences we noted in the Qu'ran are referring to the same thing. One speaks of speaking false truth and the others of having bad desires. I addressed the translational differences in another post, so please reply in only one post rather than two.
