I am very interested in as much input on the following question as possible: Is Compact Connection in the music business, or are they in "the card" business? I find Dixie's protestations that CCI is not in the CD business ridiculous: I would suspect someone might consider buying a card--if they were certain they were going to buy enough CD's to justify the $10 (2 or more, I suppose). However, under no circumstance would someone buy a card if they did not first have the interest in buying a cd. Certainly no one would buy the card if they were not sure they would get a cd. Dixie and others, you can downplay the site not being up and operational, the lack of a pp, and complete absence of anything else newsworthy. The facts remain: 1. CCI is still not fully functional, 2. the news release of the opening of the new site probably drew interested potential customers and investors--only to see a non-functioning site, 3. the company has just about no money, 4. not once has management met or even closely approximated deadlines. The lack of updates or noticable advancement is truly trying. No site, no cd's, no money, no advertising/pr/marketing plan in place, no association with search engines. This is unacceptable. Listening to some on this thread, the Girl Scouts are going to stop selling cookies and sell the magical card instead. I have a more realistic idea: there is a street person down the way who sells snake oil--I but his customers might consider buying THE CARD. Then again, they probably have too much sense for that. AJBerger used to really piss me off on this thread. I'm beginning to think he's the only one of us with any sense at all.
