Doug, all I can tell you, is that I believe CIEN is correctly valued now, given its growth prospects for the next 12 months. I keep telling people to forget about 90. Pretend it never happened. Its only real, if you were unlucky enough to have bought the stock up there.

I might be willing to listen to a well though out argument for a 20 valuation (I haven't seen it yet), but all I get on this thread is crap about how CIEN is worth 30-40, because "its way oversold".

CIEN is currently trading at a hefty premium to its '99 projected earnings. I know, I know, no clue analysts; yeah, right. But these no clue analysts speak to management, and customers, and competitors. They do far more research than one bozo on the this thread who shall remain nameless.

The key statement by Mr. Hooke is

I've never sat down and gone through the stock, so I don't know what the fair value of Ciena is.

Maybe he should do a little research.
