How many shares? Remember CPQ has over 1.5 billion shares out there. Even if Compaq gave 1 AV share for every 2 CPQ shares and set the price at $1...the market cap of AV would be $750 million.

Las Vegas Lou...
I keep getting sick watching Dell make new highs. Its a boxmaker with a commodity product. ...that they sell at a profit on a 7 day inventory holding that they get paid for before they ship the system.

They have not built up the service or internet presence that CPQ has and yet everyday another two points! ...because they sell at a profit and are growing

When this puppy slows its growth rate its gonna hit earth like an inverted rocket. I get so frustrated with CPQ because the Alta Vista portion alone would be worth $30/sh if it was a stand alone company.
In your dreams... (and mine, I have CPQ also)

Oh well, I hope the greater fool theory holds for the dellheads who are buying today. Just venting my frustration as a long time CPQ holder. I sold Dell earlier this summer!
1)So do you also want every other stock that rose ahead of CPQ to fall as well?
2) Who's the fool? The person who sold Dell, or the person who didnt?

Have a nice day
