I hate to say it, but you're much better off buying an Intel Celery (with cache). The K6-2 3d instruction set just barely makes up for having a poor FP unit, and is actaully slower than a celeron, which does not require special drivers.

Right now, at about $200, the Celeron 300A (128K full speed cache) is the best bang for the buck you can get. If you can get an AMD K6-2 for about $100 , go for it... otherwise, get a celery.
