To this thread.. I own aapl off and on and finally bought the iMac.. a great consumer appliance, but not recomended if you want to network, print, fileshare with your old Mac.. in short. It's a great machine for surfing the web, but if you see something you want to print.. it gets a bit more complicated. The salesman at compusa where I bought it wasn't prepared for any serious use.. but before you stop reading here.. I'm not returning the iMac.. I'll keep it and learn to live with it. My datek site now offers real time quote streaming, but it's not easy with my iMac.. It's easy for wintel machines w/msft updates on java. Steve Jobs came in too late to provide all the tech stimulus and deliver it for the current products.. but I'm not finished with macs. I'm now looking at the G3 mini-tower.. hoping I can print and network thru ethernet a little easier than the iMac.. I have two computers now hooked up to road runner and that helps eliminate some of the frustrations for getting data off the internet.. I'll be watching to see if I get any suggestions from this thread.. thank you everyone in advance... Kenneth R Miller.. Honolulu
