It makes absolute sense that a reporter who had done a lot of work previously would want to make use of the material gathered. Also that he or she would be certain to check with management first before printing the article. Nice to know someone from the WSJ is looking over our shoulder now as we go toward announcement. What I really wish I knew was -- did the reporter contact the company again? Or did the company (& Ruder Finn) contact the WSJ. I would bet the latter and this speaks well for the new approach to PR.
